Iain Chatburn
Iain graduated in 2008 with a 2:1 from Falmouth University. He first worked in deVOL’s Creative Design Office from 2013; managing magazine advertising, updating websites, proof-reading brochures and also photographing floor tiles. Iain is now one of our kitchen designers based in the new London showroom. He is fascinated in the design process where a customer’s initial ideas become a finished kitchen design. After graduating Iain was involved in the Nottingham Arts scene, with a role as Digital Coordinator at Surface Gallery. Here he curated several exhibitions, including an international exhibition of short film, a subject which he has a great interest in. Iain's own art practice take cues from nature, with a strong grounding in Fine Art. A degree project combined photography stills and computer graphics to create an interactive point-and-click adventure game. Living in Cornwall gave the chance to dive regularly and learn underwater photography. A passion for travel also has helped produce a portfolio of photos in East Asia as well as a year teaching English in South Korea. Other hobbies include foraging wild mushrooms and cooking.
