The Prestons turned to Paul O'Leary of deVOL kitchen company in Quorn, who suggested a few radical changes...


Design secrets: The trick to making long, narrow kitchens look more spacious is to not have runs of units along both walls. Cut-off areas are great for storage such as the fridge freezer or a larder cupboard. Keep the activity area in full view of where guests gather so that cooking is not a chore, it's the main attraction.
