If you are struggling to settle on the best design for your own kitchen, you may find a similar room shape that demonstrates a suitable layout. These projects represent an eclectic mix of contemporary and classic styling which is a result of the marriage of our client’s individual tastes and the influence of deVOL’s design team.

The most extensive Catalogue of freestanding kitchen furniture currently available has been developed with the benefit of hundreds of bespoke projects undertaken over many years. The Catalogue section contains dimensioned technical drawings of Sink cabinets, Larder cupboards, Appliance cabinets, Islands, Pot cupboards, Dressers, Wall cupboards and Canopies as well as advice on setting out your kitchen. All of the furniture and accessories are individually priced so, once you have identified which cabinets suit your needs, you can accurately assess the overall cost.

Most of our clients choose furniture directly from the catalogue; or with some slight alteration to suit the space available. For difficult projects where the space seems unsuitable for a freestanding kitchen, deVOL offers a professional design service. Each project is overseen by Paul O’Leary who has 20 years of experience in furniture design. Paul is the kitchen design expert for Self Build and Design magazine and has been interviewed for Channel 4’s Grand Designs series and been featured on Britain’s Best Homes. His designs are often featured in House & Garden, Country Living, Period Living, 25 Beautiful Kitchens and Homebuilding & Renovating magazine. Many of these features can be viewed in our TV and Magazine Features section. Paul has a regular “Design Secrets” column in the best selling Kitchen magazine. In 2004, 2005 and 2006 Paul received a commendation in The Kitchen Designer of the Year Awards, judged by Kevin McCloud and the Editor of Kitchen and Bathroom Designer Magazine, amongst other notable aficionados.

If you would like to discuss the details of your project you are very welcome to call our design studio on 01509 261000. We offer an initial appraisal free of charge; if you email, fax or post us a rough floor plan along with any preferences you have, we can highlight the options open to you and recommend a potential layout, as well as the likely costs.

Following this appraisal, you may choose to commission large scale plans and elevations of your project. These highly detailed drawings are prepared on CAD and can include specifications for plumbing and electrical services, which are invaluable for ensuring that any renovations run smoothly. We charge a nominal fee for this service, usually between £100 and £200.
