Kitchen Designer
We are looking for people with a real passion for furniture or interior design to join our ever-growing, dynamic and experienced team of kitchen designers. deVOL has become synonymous with distinctive style and understated quality; something our designers are taught and become highly skilled in perfecting for every customer.
Your job at deVOL will involve:
- Guiding clients through the kitchen design process both in person, on the telephone, and via email throughout their project.
- Interpreting customer plans and requirements to create kitchen layouts using AutoCAD. These plans will be accompanied by a detailed quote and personal letter so proficiency with written English and good numerical skills are required.
- Working with all the deVOL designers to keep the quality of design and service impeccable for every customer.
We would love you to:
- Have the ability and confidence to chat with and advise customers in a professional and friendly way. Applicants must be able to present themselves professionally both on the telephone and in person.
- Be excellent at organising and prioritising your time.
- Have a great eye for detail, a flair for design, and a desire to create exceptional work.
Prior experience of using CAD software would be beneficial but not essential.
Metalware Production Assistant
We are looking for a motivated and friendly individual to assist our metalware department with the production of deVOL’s range of handcrafted kitchen and home accessories.
This junior position would suit a hands-on individual with an interest and/or experience in working with metal within a workshop environment.
Your job will involve:
- Assisting with the manufacturing of a diverse range of handmade metalware products.
- Using a variety of processes, equipment, and machinery.
- Learning how to apply our wide range of patinas and living finishes.
- Processing and packing orders for our lovely customers.
We would love you to:
- Have a genuine passion for working with your hands.
- Have a good eye for detail and desire to produce high-quality craftsmanship.
- Have a strong work ethic and a keenness to learn new skills.
Some knowledge and experience with metal techniques will be beneficial however is not essential to the role as we are more than happy to provide training. We would encourage recent graduates from a design, art or jewellery background to apply for this position.
The position also benefits from the opportunity to work alongside a team of designers and makers and develop a career within a small but rapidly growing company. Salary £19k to £22k depending on experience.
Production Designer
We are looking for someone to join our production team to assist with preparing kitchen orders for manufacture. The role will involve producing technical drawings, creating cutting lists for furniture and helping to oversee production in our workshops. Candidates will be required to use CAD and our own manufacturing system to help with the organisation and scheduling of orders for multiple furniture ranges. There may also be the opportunity to help with some aspects of CNC programming.
The successful candidate will be working on several projects each week, as part of a strong team in a fast-paced environment.
Your job at deVOL will involve:
- Producing production drawings and cutting lists that clearly and accurately communicate design details to the workshop
- Helping to organise production of multiple aspects of customers’ orders to ensure that they leave the workshop correctly and on time.
- Possibly working with external suppliers to fulfil orders
- Helping to refine processes and gain efficiencies during manufacture.
We would love you to:
- Have experience in using CAD software would be useful but is not essential.
- Have a keen eye for detail and be practically minded.
- Be personable and friendly, with good organisational skills.

Ceramics Studio Administrator
We’re looking for a proactive and hardworking individual to join our friendly, and growing ceramics department to help us with administrative, and non-ceramic-based tasks.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- General administration
- Dispatch coordination
- Liaising with purchasing department
- Processing accessory and sign off emails
- Stock management
- Some non-ceramics based tasks; wiring fittings, packing orders etc.
Qualities we’re looking for:
- Good verbal and written communication
- Organisational skills, good time-management
- Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets
- Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn
- Some experience with e-commerce platforms is useful but not essential, full training will be given
