‘Pink’ in a good way – Laurence Amelie

I have so many new kitchen ideas to tell you about, but this piece has jumped to the top of the queue because it’s pink and totally beautiful and all I have to do is go into raptures about how lovely it is.

I found this French artist by accident when looking for an image of a chandelier in the back of an old truck! I know it seems strange, but it was a great photo and I forgot where I saw it. I wanted to put it on my blog but I couldn’t find it again. Thankfully the search was not in vain and I found Laurence Amelie. I instantly loved the paintings and thought how utterly beautiful and totally original they were. Delicate, yet not too flowery, pink but a good pink, pretty but in a chic way. It’s quite unusual to find such pink, florally images that are still really cool and I definitely think hers are. As well as flowers she paints tutus, a strange subject to choose I thought, but her interpretation of these dresses is just beautiful.

I don’t expect everyone to like this artist’s work but I have a secret passion for flowers and all things Pink! I like to think it’s in a very tasteful way though!

Her paintings sell for thousands of pounds each and the more I looked into her work the more I found out how well know she is all over the world.

These staggering beautiful paintings are just waiting to be made into prints, fabric, wallpaper, birthday cards and all things flowerily so we can all enjoy them or me at least!
