East German 1860's Food Cupboard

height 1684mm, width 883mm, depth 424mm

At one time this old larder cupboard would have been used to store perishable goods like butter and eggs. The telltale sign this is a larder is the thin metal gauze in the both of the doors, which would have been used to keep the food ventilated and fresh. It's very old so it does show some signs of wear and tear: the edges of the doors are a little worn and the lock has come a little loose but otherwise, it is in great condition. If I had been going since 1860 I'm sure I would show some wear and tear as well!
