Friday Feels no.2…

30th September 2016

By Zoe Parker

Another little blog of randomness and some of the things I’m liking and loving and feeling today…

Pink & Green

Whether they’re on their own, or together, these are my favourite colours right now, especially for interiors. I suppose pink and green are two colours that you’d probably think shouldn’t be put together, they’re opposites afterall… but for me this is a definite case of opposites attract and I just love them. We might even be taking a little bit of inspiration from this colour combo for our beautiful new showroom in St. John’s square… I can’t give too much away but we are so excited to show you, it’s going to be the best. The builders have been busy working every day and it shouldn’t be too long before we’re open.

Gunpowder

This is a super cosy, buzzing little restaurant not too far from Brick Lane in Spitalfields, and a definite must try!! Gunpowder is described as a ‘home-style Indian restaurant’, but it’s definitely not your typical curry house. There’s no Baltis or Kormas or Naan breads in sight, but I promise you won’t miss them. This cool little spot serves up tapas style small plates of the most delicious Indian dishes that I have ever, ever tasted. It is a little on the pricey side, so I’d recommend going in a group, just so you can order a good few plates and have a little try of everything. Gunpowder was voted in Time Out’s top 20 restaurants in London and I can totally see why, this place is so good.

p.s. you can’t book, but you can turn up and put your name down on their waiting list, pop off for a drink somewhere and they’ll text you when your table is ready.

The Amanda Knox Documentary

I am kind of obsessed with watching documentaries, especially crime or murder documentaries, and I am so soooo excited about this one. I’m sure most of you will know who Amanda Knox is, and the story behind why she ended up spending nearly four years in prison for the murder of an Italian student. I was young when this story came out, but I still remember it so vividly, and even to this day, nobody really knows the truth about what happened. This brand new Netflix Original Documentary stars Amanda Knox herself and tracks back through the journey of this crime, from the day Amanda was arrested, to her trial and her release. I cannot wait.

The documentary airs on Netflix tonight!!! And you can have a read all about it and watch the official trailer on the Elle website below.
