A couple cancelled their Honeymoon and made the trip to Weston-Supermare for some alternative wedding photos.

This place is unreal. A dilapidated pub, desperate-looking big wheel and grim promenade perfectly express the melancholy of the British seaside. But that’s just Weston-super-Mare on a cloudy morning. Dismaland is even stranger. The very first visitors to Banksy’s “Bemusement Park” are waiting to see what lies behind a miserably gothic sign on the battered facade of a decaying lido.Created at an old swimming centre he regularly used as a child the project includes death dodgems, a sinister Ariel from The Little Mermaid, a toppled Cinderella cart and an obscure billboard poster of David Cameron holding a wine glass.

Banksy has opened a Theme Park and its definitely the cool place to visit this summer, but you had better hurry because its only open for 5 weeks.

Banksy’s spokeswoman said the site selling tickets for this adventure had received more than six million hits. A message on the site said “due to unprecedented demand” it is currently unable to process online ticket sales. Fans have been questioning whether their frustration in failing to buy tickets is in fact part of the ‘Dismaland experience’

It appears the park is full of installations by all the cool people in the art world. I’ve looked through lots of images and particularly liked the Ice cream shoe and the tattooed pottery but there are lots of much more contentious things going on for people to get all hot and bothered about.

Dismaland: watch the trailer for Banksy’s ‘bemusement park’ – video

Check out the video above to get a flavour of this weird and unusual place, Banksy certainly has some original ideas and even if some of the art on show is not everyone’s cup of tea I love the idea. I’ve never been particularly clued up or cool on contemporary art in fact i don’t think I really understood much of it or saw the point, but its really growing on me. I noticed Tracy Emins infamous bedroom installation has recently been displayed again at the Tate, 15 years on and I realized seeing it again that it did have something, I don’t know what, but it does. I think Dismaland would be absolutely fascinating, I would love to see into the crazy minds of some of these artists, such talent and creativity.

I love this piece…………. its got a bit of everything, style, colour, shock, interest, unusual and plain funny, how cool to be able to make something that can say so much. Not cool, but another Banksy that needs no description and is painfully current.
