Pomegranates and Marble

21st February 2013

By Helen Parker

These beautiful Pomegranates were supposed to be for the ‘Air’ kitchen shoot, I  cut them up, left them in a big bowl over the weekend expecting to find them looking rather worse for wear by Monday. They didn’t  they looked beautiful, slightly dried out, with a beautiful deep vivid jewel like quality. The contrast of the Pomegranates, the Carrara  Marble and the white bowl looked so lovely I thought it would make a beautiful photograph. Tim and I moved our lovely little Shaker Island under the window, against the backdrop of wobbly white walls and a beautiful old window. The shot has a feel of mediteranean rustic luxury, and shows how lovely it is to have an Island situated under a lovely window with a view.
