Our sister company Floors of Stone has a large range of beautiful natural stone tiles which really compliment our kitchen designs. When seeing the fitted floor tiles it is really easy to forget where they actually come from. This beautiful clip is an exert from a documentary called ‘Il Capo (The Chief)’ by Italian film maker Yuri Ancarani. The documentary follows the boss of a Marble quarry and in this short clip you see how he uses simple hand gestures and movements to guide his crew and their giant diggers. The juxtaposition of these monsters of machinery and the gentle and light hand movements, along with a beautiful landscape, gorgeous colours, fantastic cinematography and really minimal soundscape, make for a really fascinating watch.
