little things in cloches

A trip to the antique fairs is always so exciting, these little pots and cloches were all found at different stalls, but seemed to make a lovely display together when I got them back to the Mill. Once washed and placed under a glass cloche, even the simplest of things feel really precious and special, Its sort of as if they are transported to a museum or gallery!!

I often have days when after a little inspiration from a book, or pinterest or watching a film I want to change the showroom around and show off all things that we’ve bought, these cloches are perfect for showing off all the really little things.

I always want people to buy everything we have for sale here at Cotes Mill, but then when they do, I’m disappointed, because I loved them and the way they looked in the Mill, I know its totally silly, but I do quickly get over it!!!!

So now I ask Tim to come with me on a little photo shoot around the Mill to make sure we can at least capture the beauty of each and every thing for sale (well not quite everything) for posterity.

I love this picture below and as of today the items inside the cloches are still safe and not sold… but not for long.
