This family has created such calm and elegance with a mix of our Classic English and Real Shaker cupboards. Hiding away appliances (apart from that spectacular Wolf range cooker), going for minimal decoration and choosing chalky pale colours mixed with a deep reddish brown for the island. The look here is both grand old English country kitchen, and contemporary cool.

For a kitchen so calm, it has all the storage you could dream of. Closed, glazed, pantries, pan drawers and a couple of sleek marble shelves propped up with our brass brackets for a little spot to display just a few special treasures. The smooth honed Carrara marble continues down the wall and tops all the furniture with a chic rounded edge. To complete a true English kitchen look, you've got to go for something natural and this practical, authentic stone is our very favourite.

Flashes of brass and copper from the handcrafted hardware, taps and handy round prep sink add warmth, and as the evenings draw in, our Heirloom Task Lights cast pools of soft light upon the surfaces. A little seating area in the window, not done by deVOL, is the place to settle in for the night.
