A super cool feature

One of the best parts about my job is reading through each months magazines and trying to spot if any lovely deVOL images have been featured.

Letty and I spend lots of time sending out all of deVOL’s latest photographs and news, chatting away with interiors journalists about their upcoming features and seeing how we might be able to help out. So when we discover that something we sent over has actually been published, we get a real feeling of happiness. It’s so cool.

… But not often do we open up a magazine and spot 12 whole pages filled with beautiful images of our kitchens! And not forgetting a cute little shot of our Clapham Kitchen on the front cover too…

100 Beautiful Kitchens is a lovely little magazine which is published just once a year, it’s full of the absolute best kitchen inspiration, ideas and imagery of the year and is the perfect guide to help you out with planning your own kitchen.

First up we spotted a double page spread with one of our all time favourite and most popular shots of the Kew Shaker Kitchen, and a lovely mention for our friends at Esse. That combination of the EL13 Esse, paired with ‘Mushroom’ cabinets and a crisp white farmhouse sink is just so good.

Next up is 3 full pages dedicated to our stunning Clapham Kitchen. This is still one of my favourite ever deVOL Kitchens and I think it always will be. I usually seem to lean towards our darker paint colours, but there’s just something so understated and subtle about this whole room, but it still feels so luxurious and special, I don’t know how else to describe it or why it looks so good, I guess it’s just a really great design.

And 3 pages dedicated to our contemporary East Dulwich Shaker Kitchen. 100 Beautiful Kitchens focus on the use of mixed materials in this particular kitchen, and this is probably the reason why I love this one so much too. The customers went for white metro tiles and then a mixture of Iroko and Carrara marble worktops – something I’d never really think of doing, and something that sounds like it could be a bit too much… but it’s not, it just works so well, the different textures and colours and surfaces sit so beautifully with one another.

Next is an awesome double page spread all about ‘Sustainable Living’ and our Cotes Mill Sebastian Cox Kitchen. Using only sustainable timbers, which have all been grown here in England was really important to us when designing the Sebastian Cox range, and celebrating British designed, British grown and British made products is something we are all about. How pretty do these pages look!?

And finally a double page feature all about our super sophisticated and stylish Victoria Road NW6 Kitchen. Copper sinks, Bella Brass catches, thick Belgian blue limestone worktops and our ‘Pantry Blue’ paint make this space feel so special.

I hope you enjoyed this little peak into the brand new issue of 100 Beautiful Kitchens. We would like to say a big, big thank you to the 100BK team for every one of these amazing features. It means so much and makes us so happy to be acknowledged and included in such a lovely publication.
