The East Dulwich Kitchen

The late Victorian suburb of East Dulwich in South London is leafy green and trendy, with its craft beer bars and quirky coffee shops. This double-fronted detached family home had the perfect combination of original and modern features throughout, just right for this part of town.

White metro tiles, lots of marble and an amazing polished concrete floor; this is a super stylish Shaker kitchen which works perfectly in this newly renovated Victorian property, where the owners have created a haven of cool tranquillity at the back of their house. The big and bright room seems to go on and on, from the drawing room at the front of the house you can see right through the kitchen, past the wall of glass into the back garden. The house sits slightly lower than the garden in a concrete bowl, making it a very private sun trap.

The storage was perfect, everything hidden away behind Pantry Blue cupboards, leaving the surfaces clear and free from kitchen clutter, allowing this lovely family to show off their original and quirky artwork and ceramics. It's customers like this that give our beautiful cupboards character and originality and makes every deVOL kitchen different. We love this aspect of our furniture; its ability to sit differently in every home. After all, no one wants to have the same kitchen as their friend or neighbour.
